MODULE 3: 
My Place

Duration: 3 x 2 hours lessons

Challenge

To design and create your “happy place” as part of a 3D Augmented Reality experience.


Activities

Lesson 1:

  • Define your favorite place on earth using criteria from My Place Creative Brief

  • Create a scene of your favourite place using coloured paper (simple shapes) and glue

  • Draw up individual scene elements in Google Drawings to create your augmented content

Lesson 2:

  • Upload individual scene elements to Plattar and position to assemble “a stage”

  • Test out your augmented content so far by using the Koneki app on iPads

  • Consider other augmented content that could be added to the scene (Extension Activities)

Lesson 3:

  • Design an emblem in Google Drawing to symbolise “My Place”, to create your trigger image

  • Open Plattar and upload trigger image, save, then print off

  • Test AR experience using the Koneki app on iPads before sharing with class


Outcomes

At the end of this lesson students will understand how to design and create a digital scene using diagramming software, AR software, and file conversion to complete their AR experience.
